The Botanical Gardens are a beautiful place indeed.

My eyes welled with tears as rows of Evening
Primrose, Chicory, and Forget-me-nots covered
fields beyond my vision. The violet of Mariposa
Lilies blended with the yellow of Wallflowers
and the red of California Poppies. I stood motionless
and was overwhelmed with delectable fragrances.

The Botanical Gardens are a beautiful place indeed. I actually live less than an hour from here! Have my whole life, in Midcoast Maine.
Lovely poem, I'm glad you were able to experience this wondrous place as well.
